Facilitators continually discover new ways to present Just Neighbors.  As they do, we'll post their innovations here.  We'd like to hear from you, too.  If you've developed a way to improve the presentation or promotion of Just Neighbors, please let us know.

Guest speakers can help you attract participants and can contribute expert knowledge to a session.

Leverington Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia used the Just Neighbors curriculum in their three elective adult Sunday School classes and brought in guest speakers to keep the discussions lively. Between twelve and twenty people participated each week.
Bring youth and adult groups together.
St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, saw consistently high attendance at their adult forums when the pastor facilitated the series.  The youth group's Teen Forum participated in Just Neighbors separately.  Then, during the final Just Neighbors session, "Stepping Out in Faith," the youth and adult groups met together to strategize advocacy efforts to protect Federal funding for the Section 8 housing choice program.
Use the program to show volunteers where their efforts fit in the big picture.
A board member with Bridges Outreach used Just Neighbors with volunteers who would be distributing food and aid to people who are homeless in New York City and Newark, NJ. "So often our volunteers find that the work we do on the streets leads them to frustrating questions," she said. "Just Neighbors really helps to open productive dialogue and to move each of us toward the answer to 'What else can we do?'"
